Over the last several months, we’ve spoken with key leaders within human resources, benefits and organizational transformation about the state of workplace wellbeing and what changes need to be implemented to shape healthier, happier and more productive employees. One of the key themes we’ve begun to notice during these discussions is simple—it’s hard to move the needle when everyone is so used to the status quo. Especially as it relates to workplace wellbeing.
Not everyone is comfortable speaking their mind and challenging cultural norms. But the fact of the matter is this: the way we’ve historically approached workplace wellness is not working. 61% of employees are dissatisfied with their employer-offered wellness programs and 48% of employees do not believe their wellness programs can help them improve their health. Only 44% of employers believe their company provides a sufficient number of behavioral health programs for workers and their family members.
We’re overdue to reshape employee health and wellbeing offerings and the changemakers who aren’t afraid to challenge the status quo, to question the norm, and to push for new and better ways to enhance the resources provided to their employees will make that happen. So, we’re bringing these fearless leaders together, the ones who are championing workplace change, to spearhead disruptive conversations around workplace health and wellbeing
What are Disruptive Dialogues?
Disruptive Dialogues are conversations that challenge the norms around how we currently conceptualize and address health and wellbeing inside the workplace. Key opinion leaders will challenge a group of dedicated, thoughtful leaders from within human resources, benefits, DE&I, and other culture-shaping departments to rethink their approach to workplace wellness. Together, we’ll tackle uncomfortable but important and thought-provoking questions from why health and wellbeing benefits are so important to whether employers have a duty to provide supplemental benefits to how to bolster productivity and reduce absenteeism through health and wellbeing benefits that work. You’ll ask yourself, “Are we doing enough?” and also, “Are we doing this right?” And we’ll tackle all that together, inspiring better cultures alongside leaders who care.
