YourCoach Contracted Coaches start off by practicing on the YourCoach platform with their own clients, which is an important part of what qualifies them to become a Contracted Coach. Our YourCoach Operations team will then connect with them individually to validate their background, experience and approach before inviting them to become a Contracted Coach. From there, these coaches are able to begin working with YourCoach clients through the YourCoach platform, continuing to leverage our platform’s capabilities as well as being privy to new opportunities of educational resources and support.
What does the experience of being a YourCoach Contracted Coach look like? For today’s blog, we had the chance to speak with three of these incredible coaches, Coach Liani, Coach Jeannie, and Coach Stacey, to talk about their experiences as a YourCoach Contracted Coach.
More efficiencies and fewer headaches
We’re proud that our YourCoach platform — with all its tools and capabilities — is the first platform to be designed by a health coach, for health coaches. Not only that, but we’ve continued to shape the platform through regular feedback from health coaches, meaning it’s built to support them throughout the health coaching journeys. All our Contracted Coaches start by practicing on the YourCoach platform and continue to leverage its capabilities as they work with new clients through our Industry Partners.
Coach Liani shares, “The fully integrated, client-centered platform has been a huge benefit. The ease for clients to immediately schedule next sessions and communicate with me between sessions is a game-changer.” Coach Stacey adds, “Something I have learned is utilizing the features available on the platform to streamline the process even further. Utilizing the notes section, for example, has been really helpful. When the administrative side of coaching — scheduling, availability, platform issues, etc. — are all handled for you, I can fully be present, ready to coach my clients without having to worry about any logistical issues.”
Beyond our platform tools, our operations team is committed to making sure our Contracted Health Coaches and the clients they work with feel supported from start to finish. Coach Jeannie speaks to the difference this support makes, “I have contracted with other platforms, and YourCoach has it figured out from start to finish. With other platforms, I felt like I was on an island with no help in sight. As soon as I onboarded with YourCoach, the process was easy, and client assessments went out automatically. This streamlined approach has made a significant difference in my experience as a contracted coach. Even more important, I feel supported by the YourCoach team, whether it’s assisting with scheduling, resolving tech issues, or simply knowing there’s a group of professionals available when needed.”
Flexibility for coaches and clients
One of the key benefits to YourCoach Contracted Coaching, for both coaches and clients, is that our platform enables flexible communications with clients through seamless digital tools (we’re proud to offer both a desktop and mobile version for easy access). Coach Stacey shares how this flexibility fits into her routine, “I find contract coaching with YourCoach to fit seamlessly into my day/routine. I am able to set and, when needed, change my availability, and clients can fill in where it works best for them. Really reducing any (really all!) friction from a coach to client logistics standpoint.”
Coach Liani echoes this, sharing, “Because YourCoach’s clients come from all over the country, I get to coach during a very specific schedule that works for me – and my clients schedule in times that work for them. Neither of us are constricted by time-zones.”
For Coach Jeannie, this sort of flexibility has been a game-changer, “The one unique benefit that stands out the most to me is the ability to have the app on my phone. What that means is if I am away from my computer but I need to message a client back, I can easily do that. I love the ability that gives me to be out and about and still be able to keep in touch if I need to answer a quick question. Another is that it connects directly to my business calendar. So when a client books a session, it lands directly on my calendar and I don’t have to do any extra work!”
Opportunities to level up while staying focused on what matters most, helping clients!
At YourCoach, our primary goal is to empower health coaches to do what they do best—helping individuals through health coaching. Coach Stacey has seen this firsthand, sharing, “Having an amazing, comprehensive (they’ve thought of EVERYTHING) place to meet our clients and dive right into supporting their well-being has been so impactful. My heart is to help people find the vision for their lives and create doable action steps to work towards their goals.” For Coach Liani, the ability to “simply show up and coach” has helped her level up as a health coach: “I think having the opportunity to simply show up and coach has made me an even better coach. I show up and fully serve every single client for every moment of our sessions. It’s freeing and deeply satisfying.”
Coach Jeannie also noticed significant growth in her approach to coaching, especially in terms of adaptability and client-centered focus: “Since working with YourCoach, my coaching approach has evolved to become even more adaptable, intuitive, and client-centered. One of the biggest shifts I’ve experienced is learning how to build rapport and provide meaningful support without the advantage of tone or body language. Through thoughtful wording, reflective listening, and strategic questioning, I’ve been able to guide clients toward self-awareness and action while ensuring they feel heard and understood.”
